My favorite photos from our trip to Boston

November 15, 2011

I know I have been back from vacation for a while now, but give a girl a break, I have a job. And I need to workout, so there goes my day to edit and pick images to show you guys.

Boston was a blast. We were only there for two days, but I loved the city. What was even more amazing, we got to see the Charles Regatta take place. I really enjoyed seeing that American tradition in the birthplace of America. I really must say, that Cambridge and Boston left a great impression on me. We journeyed to a farmers market, walked downtown, saw some street performers, ate at this amazing pub, The Black Rose, which was delicious. I would recommend you try it! But, we must be on to the images.

Here are my top picks from Boston:

anytime fitness conference in washington dc

October 4, 2011

Life is separated in moments that you remember and those that are easily forgotten. This past weekend in DC, was one of those life experiences that I will never forget. I got to spend time with 12 amazing individuals as well as 750+ inspirational franchisees from Anytime Fitness. Inspiration spewed everywhere from the conference with 4 success stories, 17 awards, 100 runningman tattoos, and innumerable moments to last a lifetime!

The conference was a blast! If I went into everything I did this post would go on for days. So instead here is a mini recap in pictures!

The first and second Anytime Health tattoos were shown off at this conference and I was super excited to see it happen! It shows that the brand that I work on everyday means something, something big. I love that.

I did some major walking through DC, getting lost was fun but cold, as it was raining. I had a blast shooting while walking though because as you can see Georgetown is full of amazing homes and history. I love that area. I wish I had an extra $3,000,000 to buy the home that I walked through!

So as you can see I was busy, the last two images are from Lee at FitFoodieFinds! I want to send a special shout out to my 2i award winners because without you Anytime Health wouldn’t be as amazing as it is. Your constant inspiration and motivating words keep our site fresh and interesting! You all are amazing, truly and simply amazing. Your voice sings louder than you might think!

how to create your travel bucket list

September 19, 2011

Traveling is one of my favorite (and most expensive) hobbies. And sometimes I like to think about all the places I want to go, especially when watching a movie like Eat, Pray, Love where the colors are so vivid and the scenes are realistic and just plain beautiful.

So whether you want to go to a beach in Bali, or to the Grand Canyon, you need some sort of list. You can pull from this list when you actually have the cash to go on vacation. Or you can stare at it and count-down the days until your retirement. Either way, this will be your travel bucket list.

My travel bucket list is growing and I am always open to suggestions because, really I just want to travel everywhere and anywhere. Like come October I will be in Washington D.C., Boston, Cape Cod, and New York City. This is one of my first ‘real’ journeys east and I am very excited about it.

To create your bucket list:

1. Create a google doc/ word doc titled Travel Bucket List

2. Create seven sections for each continent

3. Type all of the places you can think of that you want to go

4. Use google maps, national geographic, and other travel sites to get inspiration.

5. Share the heck out of your list. You might find a facebook friend that also wants to backpack Europe (eehemm–oh excuse me), and then you can do it on the cheap!

Check out my bucket travel list!

The list:

Charlevoix Region. Quebec, Canada
Amazon Rainforest Brazil
Dalarna Sweden
Lot Valley, France
Kitzbuhel – Alps, Austria
Olympia, Greece
Copenhagen, Denmark
Maldives, Indian Ocean
Komodo Island, Indoneisa
Great Barrier Reef, Austrailia
New Zealand
Ireland
Warsaw, Poland
Oslo, Norway
Lake Geneva, Switzerland
San Diego, California, USA
Portland, Oregon
Seattle, Washington
(this list is always growing- do you have any additional for me?)

Is there something specific you like to do in each town you travel to?
I love going to Farmers Markets.
